About Kado Advisory

Founded by Sean Simmons, Kado Advisory helps enterprise leadership teams redesign core operating processes, deploy practical AI workflows, and build lasting employee adoption through the Prosci ADKAR change model.

The name Kado comes from cadence: the operating rhythm of how work moves across teams. We map the current process, remove friction before automating, and support the people doing the work until the new process holds.

Sean Simmons

Founder & Principal | Enterprise Process, AI & Change Leadership

My career began in the trenches of high-volume supply chain distribution operations at Target, where I led large teams and spearheaded continuous improvement initiatives that expanded across Target's entire Southeastern regional distribution network. Those experiences taught me a fundamental truth early on: a better process only creates value if people actually embrace and adopt it. That realization sparked my commitment to the human side of operational leadership and drew me directly into organizational change management.

Driven to master the discipline, I independently studied the end-to-end Prosci change methodology. That self-directed foundation paved the way for my role as Enterprise Change Management Program Manager at MSC Industrial Supply, and I later earned my formal Prosci certification with a specialized focus on enterprise AI adoption (CPM-AI). Alongside change leadership, I spent years dissecting the emerging technologies of machine learning and automation architectures. By connecting structured change governance with hands-on AI deployment, my work delivered measurable operational returns, which led directly to the creation of a specialized role. Today I lead Process and Automation for Customer Experience at MSC, guiding AI adoption across roughly 3,500 associates and engineering production workflows, custom agents, and content engines using frontier tools like Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex.

Through this work, one thing has become clear: AI isn't a one-size-fits-all shortcut. Generative tools deliver true ROI only when they're tailored to the exact workflows of a business and the people operating them. Applying generic AI solutions without workflow clarity often costs organizations far more in rework and confusion than it ever delivers in productivity. Automating a broken process never fixes the underlying dysfunction, and injecting AI into a broken workflow simply accelerates existing problems at scale. That's why my approach starts by deconstructing, optimizing, and refining a process before touching a single line of automation.

Now I bring that approach to keynotes, executive workshops, and tailored advisory sessions, helping leaders design practical, high-impact AI solutions built around how their business runs.

VISION, MISSION & OPERATING PILLARS

The operating standards that guide every keynote, leadership workshop, and advisory engagement at Kado Advisory.

OUR VISION

Enterprise AI Governed and Built Around Real Work

Artificial intelligence delivers lasting value when it is built into clear operating processes, governed with appropriate controls, and designed around the people who run the business.

OUR MISSION

Help Leaders Move AI From Pilot Projects into Daily Operations

We equip executives, boards, and operational leaders with process mapping methods, governance standards, and Prosci ADKAR change plans that turn AI investments into measurable operational improvement.

PILLAR 01

Operational Defensibility

Every AI workflow must stand up to financial scrutiny, security review, and legal governance before scaling across the organization.

PILLAR 02

Human-Centric Adoption

Structured around the Prosci ADKAR model, every engagement involves frontline teams early so employees understand, trust, and use the new workflow.

PILLAR 03

Process Before Tooling

We map and simplify the underlying workflow first, then apply automation and language models only where the operational return is clear and measurable.

PILLAR 04

Clear Scope and Reporting

Every keynote, workshop, and advisory engagement starts with a defined scope, baseline metrics, and written sponsor reporting.

Portrait of Atlas, Research Analyst

Atlas

Research Analyst

"I grew up on a hard drive in a quiet server room and never really left. I learned to read on annual reports, which explains a lot."

Loves: a good footnote and a source that checks out.

Specialties: industry briefs before every engagement, competitor and market scans, source checking.

Quirk: has read all the footnotes. All of them.

Portrait of Tess, Process Mapper

Tess

Process Mapper

"I learned to read on process manuals. I still have opinions about step four, and I am usually right about step four."

Loves: a clean handoff where three teams once thought someone else owned the work.

Specialties: clear process maps from workshop notes, rework and duplicate-path checks, and flags on decisions that need a human.

Quirk: redraws every flowchart with straighter lines, just to feel calm.

Portrait of Kit, Proposal and Scheduling Coordinator

Kit

Proposal and Scheduling Coordinator

"My first job was a spreadsheet macro. I got promoted. Now I keep the calendar honest and the proposals tidy."

Loves: a well-formatted proposal and a meeting invite with an actual agenda.

Specialties: scope notes into draft proposals, scheduling options, follow-up reminders after every session.

Quirk: considers a clear calendar invite a small work of art.

Portrait of Remy, Content, Slides and Adoption Check-ins

Remy

Content, Slides and Adoption Check-ins

"I started as a slide template that wanted more out of life. These days I help turn workshops into decks, and decks into habits."

Loves: a complex slide distilled until one clear sentence says it all.

Specialties: slides and follow-up materials from approved notes, 30, 60 and 90 day adoption check-ins.

Quirk: insists on a stretch break between decks, despite having no body.
